About the event

In this workshop, participants will generate short works of prose and poetry with a focus on our evolving heritage. Using writing prompts and exercises, short reading samples, and canned research, we'll explore trails of migrants - both human and other-than-human - through and around central Ohio. In our writing we'll draw connections to family and community ancestors and to the natural world that sustains us. Exercises are designed for writers of all experience levels, and participants will be encouraged, although not required, to share.
