We value the pets in our community and are proud to be a place where they, and their owners, can gather and enjoy our beautiful grounds. To keep Bryn Du safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that all visitors follow these simple guidelines.

 

Granville's Leash Law and Bryn Du​

Front Lawn Exemption

The front lawn at Bryn Du Mansion is exempt from the Village of Granville’s new leash law.

Front Lawn Definition: The open space south of the mansion and the treelines on both sides of the mansion.

Off-Leash Rules (Front Lawn Only)

Dogs may be off leash only when:

1. No scheduled events are taking place.

2. They are under voice control and well-behaved.

Event Times

During any scheduled event on the front lawn, such as polo matches, weddings, lacrosse games, football games, or other organized gatherings, dogs must be on a leash, even if a short distance away from the main activity.

All Other Areas

Dogs must remain leashed in all other areas of the property in accordance with the Granville leash law.

Pet Cleanup Policy

Dog sanitation stations with complimentary waste bags and trash receptacles are located throughout the property. Please pick up and properly dispose of any waste produced by your dog to keep the grounds clean and sanitary for all visitors.
