About the event
Recovering Ohio’s Indigenous Voices Panel Discussion
Join us on Indigenous People's Day for an enriching panel discussion, "Recovering Ohio's Indigenous Voices," as part of Ohio's America 250 celebration. In partnership with the Great Circle Alliance, Bryn Du Mansion presents three talented artists from Ohio's removed tribes: Holli Margell (Eastern Shawnee), Travis Mammedaty (Seneca-Cayuga), and Dani Tippman (Miami). These artists will share their photography, painting, and basketry, reflecting tribal traditions, values, and worldviews.
The event highlights Ohio's indigenous legacy, now in the spotlight with the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks' designation as UNESCO World Heritage sites. By exploring their artistry and stories, attendees will gain a deeper appreciation of Ohio’s rich cultural heritage.
