We're opening all of our doors again with another "Behind the Velvet Rope" Open House event as part of Ohio Open Doors 2026. On Tuesday, September 15, visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore exclusive areas of the mansion typically closed to the public.

About the event
Step behind the scenes at Bryn Du Mansion during our “Behind the Velvet Rope” Open House, a rare opportunity to explore spaces not typically open to the public.
As part of Ohio Open Doors 2026, a statewide celebration led by the Ohio History Connection, Bryn Du Mansion will join historic sites across Ohio in opening doors to unique places and untold stories. This biennial program highlights the rich heritage of our state and, in 2026, helps commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Guests will enjoy self-guided tours through exclusive areas of the mansion, uncovering hidden details, architectural features, and stories that are rarely shared. Whether you’ve visited before or are experiencing Bryn Du for the first time, this event offers a fresh perspective on the estate and its history.
