Service Description

This class is designed for those who have little-to-no watercolor experience, through an intermediate level of experience and beyond. Numerous teaching aids, examples and handouts will be shared so students can begin their own watercolor resource notebook. Individual assistance will be provided along with various lessons, exercises and demonstrations, highlighting important principles of watercolor painting.) Students will learn the major topics of watercolor painting, including: How to Get Paint ON the Paper, How to Get Paint OFF the Paper, Mixing Colors, Properties of Watercolor Paint, Value, Composition, Shadows, Perspective, and Reflections. In addition, there is an extensive list of some 60 specific, targeted topics for students to select from, such as: How to Paint Water, Clouds, Trees, How to Use Masking Fluid, etc. Benefits of the class are that each student, regardless of their current experience level, will have an individual plan that meets their specific artistic needs, and includes individual attention and time with the instructor. Goals of the class are to encourage sharing of watercolor painting tips, techniques and experience between students, and to provide a supportive, positive learning environment for all students.
